The Stencilfied Journal | Prompt #20: Stencil a page. Embellish it with office supplies.⠀ ⠀⠀ Prompt #20! Can you believe it?! That means that there are only four more to come... Which makes me a bit sad, because I love these prompts, but I also think it will be good for me to work in a different format again.⠀ ⠀⠀ Anyway, for this prompt I stencilled the background using a @gelliarts gel printing plate, acrylic paint and @natkalbach's new @stencilgirl_products stencils Exchange Place and Central Ave. ⠀ ⠀ Then I scribbled with a white China marker. The lady came from a pack of vintage ladies magazines cutouts that I ordered from @badass_paperlover. The postage stamps came from my stash, but Esther happens to sell those too in her Etsy shop.⠀ ⠀ The other office supplies I used are a neon yellow highlighter, a neon pink highlighter, small round stickers, pink hole enforcers and a numberer which hardly had any ink left, so the numbers are only faintly visible.⠀ ⠀ I also used sellotape to close the pocket of the inside cover because it wouldn't lay flat on its own.⠀ ⠀ Then I splattered black paint (marker), I outlined the postage stamp shapes and... called it done!⠀ ⠀ The Stencilfied Journal is a StencilGirl® Collaboration Challenge hosted by the fab @adogslife13.⠀ ⠀ It's still not too late to join us! The Stencilfied Journal | Prompt #19: Stencil a page. Write one word over and over.⠀ ⠀ Sorry, I could not resist! ;-)⠀ ⠀ I can't remember exactly how I created the background. I think I may have used the page to clean a brayer, so there probably already was paint on there when I started with this week’s prompt.⠀ ⠀ What I do remember is that I stamped a ghost print on it using a @gelliarts gel printing plate. You can faintly see the lines of @natkalbach's new Hamilton stencil for @stencilgirl_products.⠀ ⠀ I also stencilled with one of my favourite hand-cut stencils and repeated the Hamilton pattern on top using blue StazOn ink and a cosmetic sponge.⠀ ⠀ To finish the page, I wrote 'one word' over and over with paint markers, black fineliner, white gel pen and white china marker. ⠀ ⠀ The Stencilfied Journal is a StencilGirl® Collaboration Challenge hosted by the fab @adogslife13.⠀ ⠀ It's still not too late to join us! The Stencilfied Journal | Prompt #18: Stencil a piece of tissue paper. Crumple it. Add it to your journal.⠀ ⠀ I love stencilled tissue paper!!! It's perfect collage material, and I especially like that I only need tiny pieces of it to add colour and texture to a page.⠀ ⠀ For this prompt, I used larger torn pieces of tissue paper. Of course I stencilled the tissue paper first using a @gelliarts gel printing plate, acrylic paint and @stencilgirl_products stencils by @gwenlafleurstudios, @natkalbach, @valeriesjodinstudio and @wendybrightbill.⠀ ⠀ I gave the page a yellow background. Once the paint was dry, I used matte gel medium to collage the tissue paper to the page. I left the page to dry overnight before I added my marks and doodles with paint, paint marker and china marker.⠀ ⠀ I stencilled the eyes using acrylic paint and the Wolf stencil by @bybun. I finished the page by outlining the eyes with gel pen, and I used the same pen to write down the lyrics to a song I happened to be listening to.⠀ ⠀ The Stencilfied Journal is a StencilGirl® Collaboration Challenge hosted by the fab @adogslife13.⠀ ⠀ It's still not too late to join us! The Stencilfied Journal | Prompt #17: Draw shapes on a page. Stencil only inside the shapes.⠀ ⠀ This page already had a pink background and stencilling on the left from the previous prompt. So I only had to draw three imperfect circles and stencil inside those using @natkalbach's Central Ave @stencilgirl_products mini stencil, acrylic paint and a cosmetic sponge.⠀ ⠀ I added orange paint splatter and yellow oil pastel scribbles. Then I pasted @studiolight_nl @art_by_marlene die-cuts on top and finished the page with a tiny bit of doodling to tie the die-cuts to the background.⠀ ⠀ The Stencilfied Journal is a StencilGirl® Collaboration Challenge hosted by the fab @adogslife13.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ It's still not too late to join us!
