The Stencilfied Journal | Prompt #3: Stencil on a leaf. Add it to your journal.⠀ ⠀ For this prompt, I initially stencilled a different, larger leaf which I ruined whilst attempting to adhere it to the page. In the process, I also managed to damage the page. So... I gesso-ed over it and started again!⠀ ⠀ Next I stencilled these two smaller leaves. I had fun decorating the page adding collage and marks, but somehow could not get it to look 'right'...⠀ ⠀ I decide to paint over the background, and it immediately started to look better.⠀ ⠀ I'm still not super happy with how the page turned out, but sometimes you just have to let it go and move on to the next page!⠀ ⠀ I stencilled the leaves using @stencilgirl_products stencils designed by @natkalbach and @royaltalens Amsterdam acrylic paints. I also used three Tag stamps that @natkalbach designed for @rubbermoon.⠀ ⠀⠀⠀ The Stencilfied Journal is a StencilGirl® Collaboration Challenge hosted by the fab @adogslife13. Creative JumpStart 2018 | D A Y 2 2⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Remember Creative JumpStart 2018? At the beginning of the year, I was one of the teachers. ⠀ ⠀ I also happily followed along with all of the videos until 22 January and then travel took over.⠀ ⠀ I always intended to go back to finish watching all the videos and to fill my special CJS2018 passport-sized journal insert. ⠀ ⠀ I'm happy to announce that I finally got around to doing it!⠀ ⠀⠀ The video for day 22 was by the host @natkalbach and here’s what I created after watching it.⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ Curious about Creative JumpStart? The Stencilfied Journal | Prompt #2: Stencil a page. Rip it out of your journal. Tie it outside.⠀ ⠀ Yep. This page has been hanging outside in the sun, rain, wind for over a week now and... it’s totally fine.⠀ ⠀ I was thinking about relocating it, but I’m going to leave it for now. There are plants right underneath it that are climbing up the trellis. They’re growing fast, so they should be reaching the tag soon.⠀ ⠀⠀ For this prompt, I stencilled my pages using @stencilgirl_products stencils designed by @natkalbach, a @gelliarts gel printing plate and @gelliarts premium acrylics. Printing with Gelli Arts® Gel Plates and DIY Layered Stencils | Did you enjoy watching my latest video tutorial for @gelliarts?⠀ ⠀ Here's another fun one for you, that you may have missed! ⠀ ⠀ Last month I was inspired by screenprints and those layered stamp sets that are all the rage right now.⠀ ⠀ I went on a long Google search until I had an idea of how I could create something like it with the gel printing plate. ⠀ ⠀ My solution was to make my own layered stencils!
