Oh man, time is flying! Yvonne has just revealed a new sketch at the Dutch Dares blog!

When it was time to do this assignment I was (once again) thinking of ways to get my own priorities aligned with my DT-duties.

I was also inspired to create two page spreads and that’s how I found my way back to my monster project: the USA album I promised to finish by the end of last year. I obviously didn’t manage that goal, but I’m happy to say that I’m now a couple (!) of spreads nearer to the finish line!

Back to the sketch… It is a one page, one photo sketch that I adapted into a two page lay-out with more photos because that’s what I wanted and needed for the album.

At that moment I did not have the previous spread ready and I left the journaling for another day. When I get round to it I will add the journaling under the title, very likely using word strips.

It was really fun and productive to dive into this album again! It’s hard to go back to two page spreads after doing 12×12 lay-outs for so long. It’s also hard to use 4×6 photos when you are used to printing your own photo sizes and using photo collages all the time… But it’s always good to do things out of your comfort zone!

As I said: I did several pages in one go and I will share more later this week!
