The weather has been beautifully sunny and warm over here, so I thought I’d show you another beach lay-out!

This is one of the pages that was published in the June 2013 issue of Scrap365. For this ‘quick’ page I made beach balls by punching circles out of kraft cardstock and then embossing them with two tones of embossing powder.

The idea for this came from the Aarikka necklaces (Pastilli and Tikkari) that I saw in a window display when I was walking around in Helsinki with Birgit last year.

I didn’t even take a photo of the display, but the huge colourful wooden beads stuck in my head and once at home I googled the brand and I printed an image of one of the necklaces to make sure I wouldn’t forget.

I have been wanting to use the idea on numerous lay-outs ever since, but it wasn’t until almost a year later that I finally found the perfect page for it!
