Creative JumpStart 2020 | Flip through⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ It took me a little while longer, however now I can finally say: ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ It's a wrap!!!⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ If you're participating in CJS and you've haven't gotten around to watching all of the lessons yet, let alone doing the homework then... Don't fret about it.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ The lessons will keep, especially when you take advantage of the possibility to download them.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Having done a page inspired by all (but three) of the CJS videos this year, I have concluded that it's nuts to want to do them all over just one month.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ And, that it's actually better to take more time for the lessons as I’ve found that most of them provide an opportunity to dive deeper and/or explore outside of your comfort zone.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Anyway. Creative JumpStart 2020 | Day 31 [ad]⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ @jameslukeburkecreative's video lesson was the one that concluded CJS2020!⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I always enjoy listening to James talk about his work, and I loved the exercise he shared in his CJS video. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ It's an exercise you can do over and over again. Creative JumpStart 2020 | Day 14 + 29 [ad]⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ When it comes to online workshops and events like Creative JumpStart, I believe in using what you already have at home. ⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ However, sometimes a teacher shares about an art supply you don't have but would love to add to your arsenal.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ Like the water-soluble graphite pencil @jodiohl used in her CJS video. I've wanted one for so long now, that I skipped the lesson and put the pencil on my to-buy list.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ @artnewwave, on the other hand, shared how he creates art using items from the hardware store.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I'm sure we have some spackle somewhere in the house, but why would I use that when I already have more texture pastes in my stash than I will ever use.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ I decided that yes, I was going to use wall paint (emerald, from our basement cupboard) and yes, I could use that drywall tape that I've kept in my glue drawer since forever, but no, I wasn't going to look for the spackle.⁠⠀ ⁠⠀ And, this is what I ended up with!⠀ ⁠⠀ Thanks, John, for the out-of-the-box lesson.⠀ ⁠⠀ As said, I'm saving Jodi's lesson for when I finally get my hands on the pencil.
