A couple of weeks ago Els van de Burgt visited the Netherlands and I got to demo with her and Anita Izendoorn at Doe@ding in Spijkenisse!

We had a fun-filled day with loads of laughter and I even got to try some (new to me) stuff!

Els let me try her set of Ken Oliver Color Burst. I had never worked with this medium before and I didn’t really know what I was doing.

It’s a pigment powder that you activate with water to create all kinds off cool effects. The pigments are really intense and I was spraying from a distance trying hard not the get any of it on my clothes…

A tiny bit of powder goes a looong way and you can create a variety of effects by adding more or less water.

I tried it on the new 270gr Soft Finish Cardstock and that worked out really well!

At home I found Shimmer Sheetz to match the colours of the Color Burst and created these Christmas cards for the new Designer Challenge that is up on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog.
