Yesterday a new Dutch Dare Sketch went online. It’s an extremely inspiring and versatile one: it prompted some of our team members to create more than one project! Go take a look at the projects here on the Dutch Dares blog. And: you are more than welcome to participate!
I chose to create a page for my Florida album. Remember this post? Well… I didn’t finish the album before December 31st 2012. But it’s still my goal to finish it in the very near future. I’m in the process of purging and reorganizing my craft room and I really want this ‘old’ stuff out of the way. Only a couple more pages to go!
Last Wednesday I mentioned Riikka’s amazing Creative Christmas Calendar. There is a new window to be opened every day (somedays there are extra’s and give-aways too!). Lots of awesome talented mixed media artists and scrapbookers contributed, so be sure to check it out if you haven’t already!
Here’s what I shared in my window:
“I don’t know about you, but I’m usually creating my Christmas cards at the very last minute (or any card for that matter)… So I thought I’d show you a card that doesn’t take up enormous amounts of time to make. And it doesn’t even have to be a Christmas card, because the same principles can be adapted to fit any occasion!
I’m trying to do some of the Haaste[el]Lista challenges myself. I’m not doing a good job catching up though… I just finished the breakfast challenge, which was to make a card from the crafting materials on your table.
I cheated a little bit because there was no cardstock on my table, but everything else was definitely there in the mess…

We are giving away some amazing product from both participating companies. All you have to do is COMMENT on all participating blogs along your journey to WIN. Our three blog hop winners will be drawn from all participants, so be sure to leave comments by Sunday March 25th at 6pm EST. We will announce the winners on the myStamp BOX blog and Faber-Castell blog on Monday, March 26th. Good Luck!
Here is what I made using products from Faber-Castell and myStamp BOX:
Not only did I use the Gelatos for water colouring the stamped images, but I also took the metallic green and metallic gold Gelatos to highlight the texture of the background:
I am really happy with the result :-). Faber-Castell products are really great to work with and combining them with some of my favourite myStamp BOX stamps was great fun!
Now it’s time to HOP along and find out what the next talented designer has created. Your next designer is Linda Abadie! Don’t forget to leave a comment below for a chance to WIN one of our THREE product giveaways!
Yesterday was St. Patrick’s Day. So I drank tea from my new St. Patrick’s Day myStamp BOX Holiday Monkey mug and we ate a few freshly baked cookies (but not these green ones, because these were the ones ‘I made earlier’).
February is that time of year when myStamp BOX is looking for a few additions for the Design Team’s next term! The call is up on the blog right now, so head on over for all the details if you’re interested in a spot on the DT!
