And here is my MYSTERY BOX…

I’ve stamped a black and white border on the lid of the box with a stamp from the myStampBOX Border Lines set, masked that off and then I used the button stamps from the same set to create a rainbow colored pattern. To create the little window I cut the inside of the border out and adhered a piece of mica to the inside of the lid.

Guess what I’ve hidden in this yummie candy colored box:

That’s right! Cupcakes!!! Can you tell that I even managed to stamp on those too?

After I had rolled my marzipan flat, I put a little bit of red gel foodcoloring on my (glass) cutting board and evened it out into a really thin layer. Then I dipped one of the stamps from the myStampBOX Abundant Blossoms set into it and stamped a flower pattern onto the marzipan. After letting it dry for a minute or two, I took a cookie cutter and cut out stamped marzipan hearts!

If you decide to try this at home, please make sure your stamps are squeaky clean. Washing up liquid and water will do the trick!

Valentijns cupcakes voor de Valentijn-jarige!

Ik dacht van te voren dat de royal icing het moeilijkst zou zijn, maar dat had ik mis. De botercrème is veel lastiger te maken en was dan ook niet helemaal gelukt. De smaak was prima, maar… het zag er gewoon niet uit. Ik weet niet waar het aan heeft gelegen: mijn conversie van de Amerikaanse receptuur, mijn handmixer, het feit dat ik de crème een dag van te voren had gemaakt… en dat het daarna eerst te koud en daarna misschien te warm was? Wie het weet mag het zeggen… Volgende keer beter!
